Herbal Cacao Bark

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup coconut butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp Ceylon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maca powder
  • 1/3 cup dried meddool dates and/or figs, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sweetener of your choice (like maple syrup or honey)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the coconut butter in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water.
  2. Once melted, turn off the heat and stir in the cacao powder until smooth.
  3. Add Ceylon cinnamon and maca powder to the mixture, mixing well.
  4. Taste and sweeten if desired, using a sweetener of your choice.
  5. On a parchment-lined tray, pour the mixture and spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle dried rose petals on top, gently pressing them into the mixture.
  7. Place the tray in the refrigerator until the bark solidifies (about 1-2 hours).
  8. Once solid, break the cacao bark into pieces. Enjoy!
